Washing your hands often is very important, so as to avoid infecting others and ourselves with microorganisms like viruses or bacteria. There are ten steps to washing your hands. First wet your hands and apply soap. Then, rub your palms together. The third step is to rub the back of your hands with your palms. Then, interlock your fingers and keep rubbing. Cup your fingers and rub your cupped palm with the opposite hand. In step 6 rub your thumbs well. Then, rub the tips of your fingers to wash away dirt left in your fingernails. Then, rub your wrists.
